Intriguing Music
“AMORTAGE” is Jisoo’s first comeback in two years since her solo debut song “FLOWER” and her first under the one-person agency BLISSOO. As previously announced via a track spoiler video, Jisoo’s mini album will feature four songs: “earthquake”, “Your Love”, “TEARS” and “Hugs&Kisses”, with “earthquake” chosen as the title track for promotions. It is known that Jisoo participated in composing this mini album.
As a combination of the Spanish word for love, “AMOR”, and the film composition technique of “MONTAGE” that conveys meaning by connecting multiple scenes, “AMORTAGE” contains the story of the all-rounder artist Jisoo. Jisoo directly participated in the production of all four songs, showing meaningful changes and development in various aspects of music, performance, and visuals.

The title song “earthquake” is a song that expresses the excitement of starting a love and intense feelings toward the other person.
All the songs on the album, from “Your Love”, which contains the happy feelings felt as love deepens, to “TEARS”, which sings about trying to look bright while hiding the sadness of a breakup, to “Hugs&Kisses”, which depicts the sense of liberation after a breakup and the freedom to find your true self, contain empathy for the entire process of love. The romantic movie-like narrative that Jisoo will portray is drawing attention.
Outstanding Visual Elements
Additionally, Jisoo maximizes her strongest asset—her stunning beauty. As expected from BLACKPINK’s most beautiful member, every frame in the teaser showcases her breathtaking visuals. The previously released concept posters already impressed fans, but seeing her embody these aesthetics through expressive body language takes it to another level.
Each of the four songs presents a distinct concept. At times, Jisoo appears delicate and pure like a muse, while in other moments, she captivates viewers with her intense gaze and striking gestures. Every visual transformation highlights her mature and elegant beauty, cementing her status as an icon.
Close-up shots further emphasize Jisoo’s refined charisma. Many fans are in awe, calling her visuals “breathtakingly beautiful”. Seeing Jisoo boldly step out of her comfort zone post-YG and experiment with new creative directions has only deepened admiration for her. With this mini album, she continues to evolve, proving that there’s nothing to criticize about her stunning presence.

Leaking Controversy
Before the official teaser, “earthquake” was illegally leaked on social media, sparking debates over Jisoo’s English singing. Some critics claimed that her vocals in English lacked appeal, fueling discussions about her voice being a divisive aspect of this mini album. Jisoo’s husky tone has always been a subject of mixed opinions—some love it, while others remain unconvinced. With her new mini album showcasing her full artistic identity, fans are eagerly counting down to February 14, excited to experience “Amortage” in its entirety.
